Find Breckinridge Projected Release Dates

A Breckinridge County projected release date is an estimate tied to a sentence, earned credit, and current legal status. It is not the same as the day a person actually leaves custody. To find when someone may be released, first identify whether the person is a local pretrial detainee, a county-sentenced inmate, or a Kentucky state prisoner. The state corrections record can show calculated dates for a sentenced prisoner. Local jail and court records control many county cases. A final check of current custody and the completed release record is still needed because projected dates can change.

Breckinridge Projected Versus Actual Release

A projected date is a calculation. An actual release date records an event that has happened. Kentucky’s public state system uses several labels, each with a narrow meaning. “Minimum Expiration of Sentence Date (Good Time Release Date)” reflects a sentence calculation with applicable credit. “Maximum Expiration Date” is the sentence endpoint under the recorded status. “Parole Eligibility Date” marks when consideration may occur. A “Proposed Release Date” can appear after parole action or planning. None alone proves that a person left custody.

A pretrial detainee generally has no sentence-based release date. Bond, dismissal, a court order, or a transfer may determine what happens next. A person serving a local sentence may have a date controlled by the judgment, custody credit, and jail record without appearing in KOOL. A DOC-numbered state prisoner, including one housed in a county contract bed, follows the state sentence system.

Scheduled is not actual: Confirm the final Breckinridge release through current status, the releasing facility, and the completed release record.

Find a Breckinridge Release Date

The correct route depends on custody class. The Kentucky Online Offender Lookup covers DOC offenders, not every local booking. Breckinridge County Detention Center and the Circuit Court Clerk hold the local paths. Start with identity, sentence type, and the agency that has legal authority.

  1. Check the current Breckinridge JailTracker roster to learn whether the person is listed in local custody.
  2. Search KOOL by name or DOC/PID number. Do not restrict Offender Type when a supervised or discharged result may exist.
  3. Open the matching detail and copy each date with its exact label, current status, and location.
  4. For a local case, review the court judgment, bond order, sentence, and credit for time served. Ask the detention center for the release record.
  5. For a past DOC release, open the dated DOC Daily Releases archive and search by name or DOC number.
  6. Resolve a conflict with the facility, clerk, or DOC records office instead of choosing the earliest date.

The full Breckinridge County released-inmate search supplies the local record-request path when no date is online. Court orders belong with the clerk. Jail custody and release time belong with the detention center. State calculations and discharge types belong with DOC.

Kentucky Credits Change Release Dates

KRS 197.045 provides the state sentence-credit framework. It includes prior-confinement credit as specified in KRS 532.120, approved education credit, qualifying program credit, good-behavior credit, and limited meritorious or emergency-service credit. The statute provides ninety days for approved educational accomplishments and up to ninety days for each qualifying approved program. DOC may award good-behavior credit up to ten days per month and qualifying meritorious credit up to seven days per month.

Those figures are not a calculator for a named person. Eligibility, exclusions, approval, and actual awards control. With the exception of prior-confinement credit, credits can be forfeited and future credit denied for offenses or rule violations. Consecutive sentences merge for credit and expiration calculations under the law. The date can therefore move after an older KOOL observation.

Section 12 of 501 KAR 2:060 addresses qualified state inmates housed in county jails. Eligible state inmates can receive statutory, meritorious, educational, and approved program credits. That rule does not grant every Breckinridge pretrial detainee or local misdemeanor inmate a set monthly reduction. No Breckinridge-specific local-jail good-time policy was found in the official sources reviewed.

Why Breckinridge Release Dates Move

A projected date rests on facts that can change. Some changes affect the sentence calculation. Others affect whether the person walks into the community on that date. A hold from another authority can turn an apparent release into a transfer.

FactorEffect on the recordWhere to verify
Credit earned or forfeitedMoves a minimum or good-time expiration calculationKOOL and DOC records
Court order or corrected sentenceChanges the legal term, custody credit, or release authorityBreckinridge court file
Parole actionMay grant, deny, defer, or propose a release dateKOOL Parole Information and Board record
Detainer or separate caseMay cause transfer rather than community releaseFacility and agency records
Mandatory reentry supervisionCan begin statutory community supervision before projected completionKOOL and DOC Daily Releases
Data finalizationNew state data may later be correctedKOOL warns recent data may not be final

KOOL warns that data newer than 120 days may not have been finalized. Record the day searched and recheck close to the expected event. The releasing agency’s event record is stronger proof than a prior estimate.

Confirm a Breckinridge Release Date

Kentucky VINE offers a person-specific custody check and notifications for local jails and adult correctional facilities. It does not calculate the sentence. Register only after matching the right person, then compare any alert with the facility and final record. A released or not-in-custody VINE result supports exit from the reporting facility but does not rule out transfer to federal, immigration, out-of-state, or another Kentucky authority.

The Breckinridge VINELink check explains the name or ID search and phone PIN process. For a DOC prisoner, also locate the dated Daily Releases PDF. Those reports name the release type and releasing location, but cover state prisoners only. They are not a list of all local bond or time-served releases.

The successful manifest capture below comes from the official Daily Releases index.

Kentucky DOC Daily Releases archive date index

The archive provides retrospective proof by date. It should be read after KOOL, not substituted for a county release log.

Breckinridge Violent-Offender Date Rules

KRS 439.3401 defines violent offender through an enumerated list. For covered term-of-years cases, its 85-percent provision limits listed early-release paths until at least 85 percent has been served. Specified life cases use a different minimum. The rule is not universal.

Everyday use of the word “violent” cannot decide coverage. The conviction, offense date, amendments, exclusions, and statutory category control. The linked version identifies a July 15, 2026 effective date, so an earlier offense may require a prior version. Eligibility also is not release. A person can be denied or deferred, or face another legal bar.

Breckinridge Sentence Date Sequence

A careful estimate begins with the judgment and sentence. Add verified prior-custody credit, identify the statute in force on the offense date, determine whether KRS 439.3401 applies, and use only credit actually earned or awarded. Then account for forfeiture, consecutive terms, parole action, mandatory reentry, detainers, and later recalculation.

Do not publish a personal date derived from that sequence. It is a checklist for reading official records. KOOL supplies the state’s current calculation, the court supplies the judgment, and the facility supplies the actual exit or transfer record.

Read Kentucky Release Date Labels

KOOL uses several date labels that answer different questions. Its search form has a “Projected Release Date From/To” filter, while a person detail can display “Minimum Expiration of Sentence Date (Good Time Release Date),” Parole Eligibility Date, and Maximum Expiration Date. The Parole Information table can also show a Proposed Release Date. Copy the exact label and the date checked because substituting one field for another changes its meaning.

A minimum-expiration calculation reflects the department’s current sentence and credit data. Parole eligibility identifies when Board consideration may occur. A proposed date can follow a Board action but still depends on remaining requirements. Maximum expiration represents another sentence endpoint. None of those fields, standing alone, documents that the person passed through the gate.

After the date passes, compare KOOL’s current status with the relevant DOC Daily Releases report. The dated report can record the releasing institution, date, type, supervision location, and related state fields. If the report names Breckinridge County Jail, verify that the person was a DOC-numbered prisoner rather than assuming it covers every local release.

Local Breckinridge Release Dates Differ

A person held solely on a county booking may not have a KOOL entry at all. Bond, dismissal, time served, and another court-directed exit are controlled by the case order and the detention-center custody record. The Breckinridge County Detention Center at 500 Glen Nash Lane can confirm its records route at 270-756-6244. Circuit Court Clerk Cindy Rhodes can route requests for the underlying District or Circuit order.

The county's live JailTracker page is a current roster, not a projected-date calculator or historical release archive. Disappearance from it may reflect release or transfer. Kentucky VINE may supply a reported release date for a matched person, but that date should still be reconciled with the jail record and court disposition. Applying state-prison credit math to a local detainee creates a confident but unsupported answer.

Resolve Conflicting Release Dates

When two official dates differ, first record the source, field name, and time of each check. Confirm that the records identify the same person and custody episode. Then ask the responsible agency whether a later sentence recalculation, forfeited credit, consecutive term, parole action, detainer, or court order changed the earlier figure. A transfer can also end one facility's custody without starting community release.

For a DOC calculation, use KOOL and contact Kentucky DOC. For a local booking, use the detention center and court clerk. For a Parole Board proposal, inspect KOOL's parole table and request a missing decision through the Board's open-records route. The correction should come from the agency record, not from an independent calculation.
