Privacy Notice

Information You Submit

A name, location, or other query entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Breckinridge County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. Messages sent by email or a contact form may be retained long enough to answer and manage the exchange. They are not shared outside the organization unless required by law.

Automatic Technical Data

Routine technical records may be created when a page loads:

  • Internet Protocol address;
  • browser type and version;
  • device type and operating system;
  • pages viewed and time spent;
  • the referring page, when supplied; and
  • request timestamps.

Cookies may help measure how visitors use the site. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, although some functions may then behave differently.

How Data Is Used

Collected information supports limited operating needs:

  • keeping pages available and responsive;
  • routing a query to the selected search provider;
  • measuring which content is useful;
  • finding and repairing technical faults; and
  • presenting advertising that may reflect interests.

Outside Sites and Advertising

Links lead to sheriff, jail, corrections, court, release-record, and third-party search resources. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination’s privacy policy governs. Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across sites and select ads. That tracking is controlled by those partners, not by this site.

Parties That May Receive Data

Personal data is not sold. It may be handled by search partners processing a submitted query, analytics providers, advertising networks, and law enforcement or another government body responding to a valid legal order.

Security Practices

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used. No internet-connected service can promise perfect protection, and this notice does not guarantee that a breach, loss, or unauthorized access can never occur.

People Under Eighteen

This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian may use the Contact Us page to request deletion if a minor submitted information.

Your Privacy Choices

Depending on applicable law, a person may ask for a copy of personal data held, correction of an error, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. A request may require enough information to verify identity and locate the data.

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as practices or legal duties change. An updated version takes effect when posted with its new effective date.
